Amy is a Master’s level Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and a National Certified Counselor for the National Board of Certified Counselors. She received her Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX (1999) and her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling From Amberton University, Garland, Texas (2013).

Amy has experience working with children, teens and adults as a counselor in various settings ranging from community clinics, medical centers, and private practice and as a teacher in schools extending from middle to high school level.

Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and their families in a community clinic setting for children with acute mental health and behavioral issues. She has facilitated psycho-educational groups for children and teens affected by trauma and has experience in crisis counseling. She also has experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, self harm, addiction, relationship, and communication issues. Amy has lived and worked overseas for five years and enjoys working with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.  She is happy to offer Christian and Biblically-based counseling when requested.
